What causes wrinkles and deep lines?
Years of "facial expressions." The repeated use of the facial muscles over years and years cause what
we call "dynamic wrinkles." The grooves appear as the result of repeated muscle contractions from smiling, frowning, laughing, squinting, crying and all these habitual emotional expressions we all use daily. Genetics, family history, lifestyle habits such as smoking and sun bathing along with normal age related wear and tear all
contribute to these "dynamic" wrinkles and creases.

What is Botox®?
Is the Brand name for Botulinum Toxin Type A which is nature's most potent nerve impulse blocker. It is a therapeutic neurotoxin used successfully and safely in wrinkle therapy for several years now.

How does Botox® work?
It works by "relaxing" the muscles used repeatedly, day after day for facial expressions. The botulinim partially blocks the nerve found in these muscles. This relaxing of the muscles causes the overlying skin to "smooth out" and the wrinkles go away! This does not affect normal functioning of untreated muscles.

What is a Botox® treatment like?
Safe - simple and fast! Using a tiny needle the Botox® is injected with great precision into the specified facial area. There is minimal discomfort - no sedation or anesthetic is needed. You can resume normal activities immediately after treatment.Treatment effects are noticed within 24-72 hours following the injection.

What are the side effects?
Temporary bruising at the injection site is common. If the injection migrates to the wrong muscle - there may be some slight side effects such as "eye drooping" temporarily. Any side effects are temporary.
